How to Feel More Energetic Quickly and Easily

As Americans, one of the most disappointing parts of every day is that slow drag we all seem to feel soon after launch or around mid afternoon. The fact of the matter is, as Americans we are feeling more and more sluggish every day and that's very unfortunate because there are a number of things that we can do to eliminate the sluggishness from our lives completely.

Today I want to give you a few tips to help you feel more energetic throughout the day. Some of these tips will be completely common sense, and some of them may be new to you. You may be more interested in some than others, and some you may downright dismiss completely as not being your cup of tea but hopefully you'll find something that you can relate to that will help you feel more energetic throughout the day.

The first thing you can do is exercise four times a week. I want to start with this one first because it's the one most people hate the most. But the fact of the matter remains that exercising is a great way to boost your energy levels and you don't have to do it all that much, just a half an hour of vigorous activity such as walking up and down stairs or jogging lightly will do the trick.

The next thing to do is eliminate caffeine. I know this may sound counter intuitive but drinking lots of caffeine makes people jittery and can cause you to sleep poorly at night. When you sleep poorly at night, you end up being more tired all around throughout the day so even though caffeine gives you a quick jolt when you drink it, in the long-run it actually hurts much more. Keep your coffee drinking down to one or two cups of coffee a day and you'll be fine.

Another thing to do is take ginseng which is a stimulant herb that you can often take in capsule form. It is not addictive like caffeine but you should still talk to your doctor before you begin taking it.

The next tip to increase your energy level is to consume more fruits and vegetables every single day. Green vegetables are especially good like broccoli or beans or spinach because they are rich sources of potassium, magnesium, and other key nutrients that your body needs. Try to have five servings each of vegetables and fruits throughout the day and that should help to optimize your metabolism.

So there you have several very simple and very easy to follow tips and tricks on how to feel more energetic throughout the day. You don't have to do all of them but try to do at least one or two for about two weeks to a month and you should see drastic changes in your energy levels right away.

And feel free to mix and match between these tips. For instance, if exercising 30 minutes a day is too much, shoot for five to ten minutes and cap it off with a drink of ginseng. If cutting out coffee is too much for you, try reducing your intake by one or two cups. You get the idea. Good luck!
